China Telecom plans to begin providing wireless service in the United States under its own brand in early 2012, according to a November 9, 2011 report by Bloomberg. It is reported that China Telecom will target at Chinese-Americans, students, and tourists who travel between the two countries frequently. China Telecom projects to offer subscribers one line in the US and the other in China, aiming to expand the company's presence in the US consumer market. Price tags of such service were not disclosed.
